
Feature Playtest: Synchronous Collaborative Multiplayer Injections

My wife and I thought it might be less disruptive to give our daughter both of her nighttime injections simultaneously while she slept. Mom held the long-acting insulin injector pen while I held the short-acting one. Insert and count to five before retracting.
“Ready…. set…. Go!”
[both of us inject]
Count: “ 1…. 2... 3... 4…”
Mom's needle site started bleeding. Daughter woke up.
Result: Failure
Game Design Background: Multiplayer Terms
Synchronous Multiplayer: Synchronous multiplayer refers to a game that multiple players play together at the same time (as opposed to games like Words with Friends where you take turns at different times)
Collaborative Multiplayer: Collaborative Multiplayer refers to a game where the players work together on the same team to achieve the objective (as opposed to competitive multiplayer where you play against each other)
