Engaging with the Online Community

The most engaging games have a loyal on-line community that aggressively shares techniques, rants, and fan fiction around the game. 

These communities exist all over the internet - on Reddit, Discord, Twitter, Facebook, etc.

Type 1 diabetes also has deeply engaged online communities. When you are newly-diagnosed, you quickly rush to join them on the platform of your choice. It's great to see that there are so many other parents who are as miserable as you are! 

Luckily, there's minimal trolling in these groups. 

When you sign up to the largest Facebook communities, you need to explicitly agree to their community rules, which include:

Rule #1: Don't mention deaths. 💀

Yikes.
