This notoriously punishing game drove a social phenomenon simply because of its ruthlessly unforgiving game mechanic. The game itself is an exercise in futility: the entire premise is around keeping a character alive (the Flappy Bird) - while it is simultaneously doing everything in its power to kill itself in a fatally hazardous environment.
